NATURAL JOINT REJUVENATION
Written by David A. Tallman, NMD, DC
Regenerative Injection Therapy (RIT), is a minimally invasive, non-surgical approach to pain, arthritis and degenerative joint conditions.  It is indicated for joint areas that have produced pain for longer than four weeks or pain that reoccurs in the same location after certain activities or exercises.  Natural substances such as dextrose can be deposited around areas of degenerated or weakened tissue.  The body responds to this stimulus by increasing the manufacture of normal tissue and engulfing/replacing the degenerative tissue.  Pain and arthritis symptoms diminish as the treated areas are strengthened.  Building blocks for cartilage growth may also be deposited around the treated area to assist the body's repair mechanisms.
Ligaments are responsible for holding our bones together.  When they are strong, the cartilage grows at a healthy rate and allows for smooth, pain-free motion.  When ligaments are weak, cartilage breakdown leads to arthritis, painful joints and general aches and pains.  Not only does the cartilage suffer, but the capsule lining the joint produces sparse, thin joint fluid that provides poor lubrication.
Some of the most painful conditions have been successfully treated by RIT such as arthritis, herniated disks, carpal tunnel syndrome, ligament sprains, meniscal tears, plantar fasciitis, damage to the rotator cuff, sciatica, sports injuries, spondylolisthesis, TMJ syndrome, tendonitis, tennis and golfer's elbow and post surgery pain.  Regenerative Injection Therapy often works even when all other treatments such as surgery, physical therapy, medications, and chiropractic have failed.
Remember, pain is not an anti-inflammatory medication deficiency.  Pain is the body's call for help.  Instead of masking the pain with pills or other "band-aid" treatments, why not repair the painful area?  If you are suffering or know someone who is, please call our office to find out more information (480) 951-0111.  A 15-minute consultation is provided at no charge to answer questions/concerns or to determine if you are a candidate for Regenerative Injection Therapy.
