| If you haven't already experienced it or
been reminded by the media, the cold and flu season is upon us. So
before you rush out and get a flu shot or purchase one of the numerous
over-the-counter medications, we would like to pass on some simple steps to
help in the prevention or decrease the severity of a cold or flu.
This year's flu season is already underway in
some parts of the country, most notably northern Arizona.
Additionally, with children returning to school, the risk of exposure
becomes greater.
We recommend Dolivaxil rather than a
influenza shot for prevention. Utilizing the same virus as that used
to create the flu shot, Dolivaxil is delivered orally in an attenuated
homeopathic dose, similar to what is experienced in nature. Thus,
there are few side effects unlike the flu shot and the body's defense
mechanism is stimulated through the normal channels rather than bypassing
them.
If however you begin to experience the signs
and symptoms of a cold or the flu, following these 8 easy steps can help you
overcome it quickly:
- Considerably decrease your food
consumption. Go on a semi-fast by using only soups, salads,
vegetables or fruits if you feel hungry. Do not over eat!
- Increase your fluid intake. This
does not mean coffee, soft drinks or beer, but rather hot soups, fruit
or vegetable juices or herbal teas.
- Rest! Yes, this means you!
Dare to take a day off of work, watch a video, read a book or just
sleep.
- Take Flu Solution or Oscillococcinum @
1/2 tube every 8 hours for 3 doses at the first sign of illness.
- Garlic @ 1 clove, chopped and taken with
water. Do this 3 times per day and no self-respecting microorganism will
get close to you.
- Yarrow tea @ 1 to 2 cups, 2 to 3 times
per day with a little honey and lemon.
- Vitamin C @ 3-5,000 mg per day in
divided doses as a preventive, which should be started now. Increase to
5-8,000 mg/day if you are under the weather.
- If you do not respond within 48 to 72
hours, then a follow up visit with your physician is probably needed.
