Arizona has become a haven for West Nile Virus die to the climate and
abundance of stagnant water from irrigation canals and unkempt swimming
pools. Symptoms come on following mosquito bites and include fever,
malaise, headaches and myalgia (muscle aching).
In most people, the illness runs the course with little effect. But in
some, the illness can be quite debilitating and linger for weeks.
